2021 Virtual Cocktail Party and Auction
Saturday, May 15, 2021
7:00-8:15 pm online

What is included in registration?

  • Silent Auction Access (100+ items for online bidding from May 10-16);
  • Virtual Cocktail Party and Live Auction Access – exclusive items! – on May 15; &
  • 2 cocktail kits and 2 SJS cocktail glasses.
  • Upgrade your registration with appetizers and 3-course meals (additional cost).

When is the Virtual Auction? The live portion of the Virtual Cocktail Party & Auction will take place on Saturday, May 15th from 7-8:15pm. A link will be sent to all registrants.

What if I’m busy on May 15? You should still register for the event to have a chance to win any the 100+ silent auction items. The silent auction will be open for several days! You do not have to attend the live event to win silent auction items.

Who benefits from the Auction? All proceeds go back to our school and are used toward education and enrichment resources for the students and teachers. Your generosity also helps support technology improvements, equipment, and instructional materials.

What is being offered for auction? In addition to the always popular Teacher Experiences and Grade Baskets, there is a great selection of original artwork, jewelry, premium beverages, specialty foods, local store and restaurant gift certificates, home services, and more! Stay tuned for our Auction Catalog.

How will Auction bidding work virtually? The vast majority of our Auction items this year will be available for mobile bidding for all registrants. Mobile bidding for all Silent Auction items will be open the week of the event and close on May 16. That means you do not have to be present at the live event to bid on most of the items or miss the live event watching the items you're interesting in winning. During the live event, there will be some extra-special auction items that will be offered for live bidding only via the event platform chat feature.

Who can attend? We encourage everyone to attend. The more the merrier - that means all school and parish members as well as neighbors, friends and family, community partners or those just looking for a fun night to support the school. However the auction is considered an adult event so while we love our students/kids, it's not for them.

What do I wear? Cocktail Attire if you feel like it! Or whatever you'll be comfortable in for the virtual event.

Why should I participate? Because we need you! The auction cannot succeed without participation. Many volunteer hours are put into making a fun, successful event to benefit all of our children. It is the goal of the auction each year to contribute to the success and viability of our school and have a great time doing it. While it will be different as a virtual event, it will still be fun! School and parish families as well as many businesses in our communities are all asked to contribute and donate. Please consider participating with a donation and come join in the fun of the night.

What is the Wine Wall? Bottles of wine will be collected from the Saint James community.  Each bottle will be assigned a random number.  Via the Auction website and the mobile bidding platform, community members can purchase a virtual numbered cork for $20 each. The week following the event, you will receive a bottle of wine that corresponds to the purchased cork.

You can help the Wine Wall!  Donate a bottle (or more) of wine with a retail minimum value of $20 or more. You can also donate cash and suitable bottles will be purchased with that donation. Bottles and cash donations will be collected at drop-off and pick-up the week of April 19. See also recent editions of Sister's weekly notes for how to donate electronically.
